Where and How Is High Tack Used?

Classified as a hybrid polymer-based construction chemical, Somafix High Tack S580 is widely used not only by construction professionals but also in many everyday applications.
The application areas of High Tack are extremely broad. It is an ideal adhesive for fixing curtain rails, door and frame installation, bonding drywall panels to ceilings, mounting kitchen and bathroom accessories, fixing sound and thermal insulation panels, sealing joints and skirting boards, and bonding materials such as metal, wood, glass, stone, concrete, aluminum, and natural stone. It is also suitable for bonding heavy metal components, ceramics, mirrors, and many other materials with excellent performance.
High Tack adhesive is also ideal for sealing applications. It provides excellent adhesion even in areas continuously exposed to water or water flow. As one of the strongest mounting adhesives in the construction chemicals industry, High Tack has successfully passed weight-bearing tests. When applied to an area of 10 cm², it can carry loads of up to 350 kg.
High Tack adhesive is designed to perform even under demanding physical conditions. Resistant to weather conditions and abrasion, it is supplied in white color, odorless, and paintable. It does not sag, shrink, or lose volume after application, making it a highly preferred product. High Tack adhesive is also distinguished by its flexibility.
How to Use High Tack?
High Tack adhesive is very easy to use and is applied with a cartridge gun. For the best results, ensure that the application surface is clean and dry. The adhesive can be applied vertically, horizontally, or in spots at intervals of 10–15 cm. High Tack develops initial grab strength within 5 seconds after application.
How to Clean High Tack?
If the product gets on your hands, wash them with warm water for approximately 5 minutes.
If High Tack gets onto surfaces such as glass or tiles during application, simply wipe it off with a wet or damp cloth before it cures.
If the adhesive has already cured on the surface, it can be removed using thinner or acetone.
If it gets on clothing, it can be removed with acetone.
Dried sealant residues on surfaces can also be removed mechanically by scraping.
